Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are an injectable skin treatment designed to support skin quality from within by improving hydration, elasticity and overall skin health. Polynucleotide treatments are carried out by following a full consultation to ensure the treatment is safe, suitable and tailored to your skin’s needs.

Price £185 per treatment or £525 for a course of 3 treatments.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are naturally derived molecules that work at a cellular level to support skin regeneration and repair. Rather than adding volume or changing facial shape, they focus on improving the condition of the skin itself, helping to improve texture, hydration and resilience over time.

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides work by:

  • Supporting cell renewal
  • Improving skin hydration
  • Encouraging collagen and elastin production
  • Helping the skin respond better to environmental stress

This makes them particularly suitable for delicate or fragile skin such as under eye, or for those looking to improve skin quality without adding volume.

What areas can be treated?

Following consultation, polynucleotides may be suitable for areas such as:

  • Under-eye area
  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Hands

Who are polynucleotides suitable For?

Polynucleotides may be suitable for people who:

  • Want to improve skin quality rather than volume
  • Have tired, dull or dehydrated skin
  • Are concerned about fine lines or early skin ageing
  • Prefer gradual, natural-looking improvements

All polynucleotide treatments begin with a face-to-face consultation, where we will discuss:

  • Your skin concerns and goals
  • Your medical history
  • Skin assessment and suitability
  • Expected outcomes and limitations
  • Risks, aftercare and recovery

Are polynucleotides the same as dermal fillers?

No. Polynucleotides do not add volume or change facial shape. They are designed to improve skin quality by supporting hydration and regeneration within the skin.

How many treatments will I need?

A course of treatments is usually recommended for best results. This will be discussed during your consultation and tailored to your skin and goals.

When will I see results? Is it salmon sperm?

Improvements develop gradually as the skin responds to treatment. Results are not instant and continue to improve over the weeks following treatment.

Is it salmon sperm?

Polynucleotides are derived from highly purified DNA fragments, most commonly sourced from salmon or trout. While the raw material originates from salmon or trout DNA, the final product is extensively processed, purified, and sterilised, making it safe and suitable for medical and aesthetic use. It does not contain whole sperm cells and is used for its regenerative and skin-repair properties.

Is there downtime after treatment?

Some mild redness, swelling, bruising or small injection marks can occur, which usually settle within a short period. Full aftercare advice will be provided.

Are polynucleotides safe?

When carried out by a qualified medical professional and following appropriate assessment, polynucleotide treatments are considered safe for suitable candidates. As with any injectable treatment, potential risks will be discussed during consultation.

Can polynucleotides be combined with other treatments?

In some cases, polynucleotides may be used alongside other skin treatments as part of a wider treatment plan. This will always be discussed and planned carefully during consultation.
