Skin Concerns in the Scottish Borders

Not sure which treatment to choose? Start with what’s bothering you about your skin.

At Tweed Aesthetics in Greenlaw, Scottish Borders, I offer personalised consultations to explore your concerns, assess your skin and discuss suitable options. Whether you’re noticing dryness, changes in texture or a loss of facial volume, we can work together on a plan that suits you.

Fine lines and wrinkles

You may have noticed lines around your eyes, forehead or mouth, or changes in how your skin looks and feels.

A consultation gives us time to discuss your concerns and assess the options. Depending on your skin and goals, these may include skincare, anti-wrinkle, microneedling, skin boosters or other suitable treatments.

Dry, dull or tired-looking skin

If your skin feels dry or looks less fresh than usual, you may be unsure whether to change your skincare or try a treatment.

We can review your current routine and discuss options such as Tweed Facials, skin boosters and skincare tailored to your needs.

Uneven skin tone and pigmentation

Patchy colour, sun spots and uneven tone can make choosing skincare feel confusing.

We’ll assess your concerns before recommending a plan. Depending on the cause and your skin’s suitability, this may include skincare, sun protection, professional chemical peels or cryotherapy. Some pigmentation or skin lesions need medical assessment before any cosmetic treatment.

Uneven texture and acne scarring

If your skin feels rough or you’re concerned about marks and texture left after acne, a consultation can help you understand the options.

Depending on your skin, we may discuss microneedling, chemical peels or prescription skincare. Active acne may need a separate treatment plan before we address scarring.

Loss of facial volume

Changes in the cheeks, lips or lower face can alter the balance of your features.

If this concerns you, we can discuss dermal fillers and whether they would be appropriate. My approach focuses on subtle changes, individual assessment and realistic expectations.

Skin laxity and changes in firmness

You may be noticing changes in the firmness of your face or neck and want to understand what is achievable without surgery.

We can assess your skin and discuss suitable options, including skin boosters and biostimulators such as JULÄINE. We’ll also talk openly about the limitations of treatment.

Concerns around the eyes

Fine lines, dryness and changes in the skin around the eyes can have several causes.

A consultation helps us assess the area and discuss whether skincare or treatments such as polynucleotides or Sunekos may be suitable. Not every concern around the eyes will respond to the same treatment.

Skin tags, warts, milia, verrucas and cherry angiomas

Small skin lesions can be irritating or affect how you feel about your skin.

Cryotherapy may be suitable for certain skin tags, warts, cherry angiomas and other assessed benign lesions. The lesion must be checked before treatment, and some will need further assessment or a different approach.

Moles or changing skin lesions

If you’re concerned about a mole or a skin lesion that is new or changing, assessment comes first.

Tweed Aesthetics offers access to the Map My Mole service. This is an assessment service with review by a UK consultant Dermatologist, rather than a cosmetic mole-removal treatment.

Not sure where to start?

You don’t need to know the name of a treatment before you book. Tell me what you’re noticing and what you would like help with.

Your consultation will include a discussion of your medical history, skincare routine and goals, followed by advice about suitable options, costs and aftercare. Sometimes the best starting point is a simpler skincare routine, and sometimes further medical assessment is needed.

Tweed Aesthetics is a Nurse Prescriber-led clinic in Greenlaw, regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland, welcoming patients from across the Scottish Borders.
