Cryotherapy is a quick, precise freezing treatment for common benign skin lesions.
At Tweed Aesthetics, we offer CryoPen cryotherapy for the removal of selected benign skin concerns, including:
Skin tags
Warts
Verrucae
Cherry angiomas
Milia
Sun spots / pigmentation spots
Other suitable benign lesions
Prices start from £70 for 1-3 lesions
Cryotherapy works by applying a precise jet of nitrous oxide to the lesion, freezing the targeted tissue while keeping the surrounding skin as protected as possible.
What can cryotherapy help with?
Cryotherapy may be suitable for small, benign lesions that are irritating, catching on clothing, cosmetically bothersome, or simply something you would like assessed for removal.
All treatments begin with a consultation to check suitability. Some lesions may need GP, dermatologist, or Map My Mole assessment before treatment.
What happens during treatment?
Treatment is usually very quick. Most appointments take around 15–30 minutes, depending on the number and type of lesions being treated.
You may feel a short sting, cold sensation, or mild discomfort during treatment. Afterwards, the area may become red, darker, blister, scab, or flake before healing.
How many treatments will I need?
Some lesions may clear with one treatment, while others — particularly warts and verrucae — may need more than one session.
